The Walkthrough
Welcome to the Walkthrough made by the great one, myself. Here I give you so called "clues" to what to do, as I don't think a real walkthrough will make your game funny, it'll only spoil things, I won't even tell what people say to you. This story can make people even cry! So I ain't gonna blow that feelings from ya! (I never cried but one of my friends did 6 times, she's such a wimp, but hey, at one place you just HAVE to feel VERY down and sad, I will tell in the walkthrough for that part) Let the Walkthrough BEGIN:
1. Narshe
Just battle and fight and kill your way forward until you meet Whelk.
BOSS: Whelk
To beat Whelk hit him with your Bolt Beam inside the MagiTek command. Make sure not to attack his shell, or he will do a very unpretty counterattack on you (Megavolt, if you have a Blue Mage in your party you can learn it, although you shouldn't, as he only learns 255 skills, save this spots for different skills) . When he says "Gruuu", just let your party heal itself, and then when your finished with that just waaaait without pushing any buttons at all (so you aren't inside Magic, MagiTek or Item, the cursor should be placed in the MAIN attack menu) until he reappears, when he do, hit him with your bolt beam. The Whelk have 9485HP/0MP/Weak against Fire (don't care)/Steal nothing/Ragnarok nothing.
If this is your first time playing FF3 you won't know about Steal and Ragnarok yet. Steal is taken into the game after beating Whelk and Ragnarok, well lets just say thats about after completing 60% of the game. Now take Terra (you will name her now when Old Man talks to you, suggests her name to Aldara or Zerena) outside the house through the way Old Man shows you. Don't mind if you are spotted, but try to keep quite, if you are quite enough and aren't found while walking the planks, then you will recieve a Dirk when entering the mines. Now you enter the mines. Just keep walking around, I won't tell you the way, cause mayhap you don't like searching here, but it's ALWAYS good to keep coming with experience, remember that, level is everything. After a while you'll be trapped.
2. Narshe Mines
Old Man/Arvis will meet Locke. Name Locke to something (I find the names Ashtar and Trian work best). Then you will automatically stand beside Terra. Marshall and his troops will come for you so remember to use the help that are offered right now (yes you will control 3 parties right now). Use the partys with Mog and Locke the most (Mog will join you later). After a while you can encounter Marshall!
BOSS: Marshal
To beat the Marshal just keep going on the his friends first, as they attack combined after a while (if you have a Blue Mage in your party though I do recommand you to just defend your party, when they use 'Summon' you will learn it, maybe not useful right now but later it will, Summon summons Espers). When you have killed his friends go for Marshal. Marshals stats: 420HP/0MP/weak against poison and fire (care)/Steal Mithril Knife/Ragnarok Illumina. Although I know you cannot use Ragnarok yet I see in the coding they let this boss keep the strongest weapon of them all, the Illumina, so there must be SOME way of getting Ragnarok this early... now you will have a party of Locke and Terra, now explore Narshe if you want to, or go directly to Figaro Castle.
3. Figaro Castle
Castle Figaro lies in the middle of a huge desert. When you enter, locate the King. Name the polite king Edgar to something you like (I feel the names Botsar, Fohmwy work best). Then find the Matron, located to the east of the castle (not on the map, theres two ways out of Figaro Castle that takes you outside but still in the area) and inside a house, it might was west you should go... anyway Matron babbles on forever about Sabin. You should name Sabin 'Claw' or 'Aedus' (Aedus maybe is a strange name, but when you have it for a while you will feel "Why did I ever consider using this name? It's the one who fits him best!"). Now sleep, then talk to Edgar in the throneroom, you will then get company.......... company from K-E-F-K-A himself! Talk to Kefka. Then talk to Locke (or if you should sleep). After luffing around the castle talking to everyone and being at every place you will be told by Locke to follow him to your room (actually, you never find this out but Lockes mission is to tie her in bed so Edgar can rape her, as I said you never find this out. How I know it? Square told me when I asked!). After a while Kefka will do something to Figaro, lets escape!!!!!!!
BOSS: MagiTeks
MagiTeks stats. 500HP/Unlimited MP/no weakness/Steal 'random'/Ragnarok 'Raiden'. Hit these dudes with 'Fire' magic, then you will see a little talk between the three party members. And again, there must be some way of getting Ragnarok this early. 'Raiden' is a hidden Esper! Now you can get Raiden and Odin on the same time without any annoying 'freezing' thingys.
4. South Figaro
Walk through the cave south of Figaro to reach the South Figaro continent. At the Cafe you'll meet Shadow and name him (I do find the name Dusk ULTIMATE for this guy, it's probably the name I am most proud to present to Shadow, or name him simply Shadow, as that name rocks also). Now you should go out of South Figaro after buying stuff (relics, armors, weapons, shields, helmets, don't forget that the relics you find here aren't the only ones in the game, there are far more relics to be found that is 4575 times better than these (although Gauntlet is pretty good all the time). Don't take the Chocobo ride if you don't like wasting money and experience. I don't mean you loose experience riding them, but it's just better to walk, that gives more exp, and more exp means more levels, and more lvls make an easier game! You might think "Why do I want it easy, it should be a challenge right?", but that is not-so-good-RPG-thinking. If you do not raise levels you are fucked. Anyway make for the small cabin, Edgar becomes hysterical about everything he sees in there, just sleep and recieve the Tonic. Now you should know (I didn't, it took about 30% of the game for me to get this) that this is Duncans house. Duncan is the trainer of Sabin. Duncans son Vargas don't like Sabin at all... poor guy, must have loosed some screws. Now head for Mt Koltz.
5. Mt Koltz
This place, I hate it, but the music is Duncan's, and I love that music! You will meet very hard enemies in here, so be prepared for screwups. At the end you'll meet Vargas. Vargas stats are 11600HP/0MP/weak against poison/Steal Mithril Claw/Ragnarok none. Now this is only the first hard round of Vargas. This boss is rough, if you beat it in one try you're PRETTY GOOD! Now to the 2nd round. Your party will be blown away, and you will have only Sabin. Now you should know you CAN beat Vargas without Pummel, but it's hard. TIP! Click 'Blitz', press X on your pad, then Y, then down on the pad, then up, then A. You will perform 'Suplex Blitz'. This takes major damage. Or do another blitz like Aurabolt, press down, press down and left simultaneously, then left, then A. This one kicks ass. Vargas' 2nd round stats are 999999HP/0MP/weak against Pummel/Steal none/Ragnarok none. To beat the 2nd round in one blow just perform 'Pummel Blitz'. Select blitz and press: left, right, left, A. Remember, the last boss have 640000HP, this guy got 999999HP, thats more than the last boss! But if you're a true FF3 player you can destroy this guy without Pummel. If your characters have a too bad level Sabin will start at a too bad level and doesn't even make any damage to Vargas without pummel. After the battle go for the Returners Hideout!
6. Returners Hideout
OK first you'll be escorted in, I think. Anyway there is a hidden treasure in here, a Genji Glove. Heard the name before on the Internet? Then you know that it makes you able of holding 2 weapons? If not remember you loose the ability to have a shield, so some defense is cut down. Anyway it's worth it all the way! Especially later when you find an Offering Relic. I won't tell you what Offering does but if you equip a Genji Glove Relic and an Offering Relic and two Scimitars on Cyan (that you will recieve later, sorry for the spoiler), he will become the strongest killing machine on earth, especially if you load him up to lvl65 or higher!!!! Just talk to everybody, after talking with Banon you must sleep. After sleep Banon will stand outside. He asks of you to help him, say 'yes' to recieve a Gauntlet (remember that one? Able to hold one weapon in 2 hands, similar to Genji Glove but a little more worthless), say 'no' to be given the ability of getting a Genji Glove. After you have said 'no' (as I prefer you're doing) go to the storage room and talk to all guys in there. Back to Banon now and say 'Yes'. If you are lucky, you will recieve 2 Genji Gloves and 1 Gauntlet, thats for the newest version of the game, or 1 Genji Glove only (I think, I got the later version!), anyway Genji for the whole family fun! Before Banon starts to tell your strategy spin your control stick 360 degrees any angle (I did it clockwise just so you know), then push L, R, A, B, X, Y, Select on the same time, then let go of A and Select and push Start instead. Now you must plan your strategy, listen carefully to Banon, the things he say are things that are important like he*l for following the story! If you did the code I gave you before, you will recieve one of the hidden Espers of the game, Chupon. You normally get Chupon Esper if you bet the Striker at the collosseum and win against Chupon, but just so you know, this Esper isn't dead yet, he's just capsuled, when you bet the Striker at the collosseum it doesn't matter if you win or loose, you'll recieve the Esper Chupon.
7. Kefkas Assault
Kefkas assault team arrive. A wounded soldier lies at the ground calling out that a special city is being occupied. Well your characters now are sent out in 3 parties and will together destroy Kefkas Assault team. I promise you, this battle ain't nice! If you have genji gloves/gauntlets/golden hairpins/true knights the time to use them is NOW, skip sprint shoes (not running shoes) cause they only make the game nicer, not easier. Recommanded level for this plave is 20. Destroy all the forces that come against you, keep one character party at Banons face (if the team reach Banon you'll loose, keep one party before Banons face so they auto-attack you, if you win you are OK, loose and you are completely dead). When the whole force is destroyed, CHARGE! Make sure you ain't attacked by the guard that runs in front of Kefka protecting him. If you do, OK you'll get more experience. If you don't, Kefka will get +5000HP and he will be more powerful, but if you beat that form, you will recieve an Offering! Now over to Kefkas stats 3500HP(or 8500HP)/200MP(or 400MP)/weakness nothing(eh, actually he have no elemental weakness, but tip, if you have rasp on any character (Terra will autolearn it if your level is high enough) and just send it on Kefka over and over and over and over again. When he got 0MP he is pretty fucked, you SHOULD use this techinque if you meet 8500HP Kefka)/Steal Potion(I think)/Ragnarok Destructo (haven't ever seen this item before, I loaded in the item with a hex editor for my ROM save and looked over it, OK Destructo only seems to be able to get in one place, and that is here, it even kicks Illuminas ass! What do you say? A lvl 1 character makes 5000dmg with the sword, and you reach 9999dmg at lvl20, how do you get this one without cheating???). This dude is REALLY HARD. Just look out for his attac
